Introduction to Ancient Egypt Mummies and Pyramids Kit
Jack had an incredible time completing this Ancient Egypt Kit where he learned about mummies and pyramids. The kit is called Ancient Egypt Mummies & More by Creativity For Kids. I thought this kit was very well made and it came with 4 fun activities!
What does this mummies and pyramids kit contain?
-Make a mummy project
-Design a sarcophagus project
-Paint a pyramid bank project
-Write a message in hieroglyphics project
Magic Treehouse Books on Ancient Egypt
Jack had so much fun doing these projects that we recently picked up a Magic Treehouse book called Mummies in the Morning by Mary Pope Osborne. These are great books for beginning readers. Jack and I are going to read it together to hopefully get him excited about learning to read.

Completing the mummies and pyramids projects
Here is a look at everything the Ancient Egypt Mummies & More came with:
Jack wanted to make the mummy first. The kit came with a Plaster of Paris type of gauze that just had to be dipped in water and wrapped around a rubber skeleton.
Jack’s mummy is resting his leg on a pumpkin because we wanted his leg to dry so he could be a zombie mummy like on the cover of the box.
The kit came with a really cool brown paint that we added sand to to make a textured pyramid which was also a bank.
Here is Jack decorating his sarcophagus with colors and jewels. He learned from the activity guide that ancient Egyptians were wrapped as mummies and buried with jewels.
For the final project, this is the hieroglyphics code with some bonus stickers to put on the sarcophagus.
We used the code to write JACK.
This was great quality time spent making mummies and pyramids with this Ancient Egypt Mummies & More kit.
