Having fun exploring this month’s box…
Here are Jack and his friend Landon making some origami. I have to admit, the directions could have been clearer, we did have a little trouble with some of these creations. However, when I thought the boys seemed like they were ready to move on to something else, they said they wanted to make more!

Both Jack and Landon made sailboats.

Jack also made a walking crow.

Here is a video of the walking crow:
We tried to make a star, it didn’t go too well…
The activity guide taught Jack about Bento boxes, which was nice the next time we had to pick from the menu at our favorite Japanese restaurant.

Here we are using the boarding pass to unlock secret activities!

Here is a video of us getting ready to make the carp kite (Koinobori):
These are the steps we followed to make the carp kite (Koinobori). We learned all about these kites in the activity guide. We drew two sides of the carp on a pillowcase and then cut it out.

This is the mouth of the carp.

When it was all dry, we put together with fabric glue.

Our finished kite!

Come with us on our next travel adventure!
