Junior Explorers Biomes Introduction
Our first month of Junior Explorers Biomes finally arrived! This month we got to learn about biomes. Biomes are areas of the world that contain similar climates. Because of these similar climates, the animals and plants of each biome are uniquely adapted to these environments. We happen to live in the temperate deciduous forest here in New Jersey, USA. Junior Explorers is a company which provides monthly educational subscription boxes to teach children ages 5+ about the natural world. As a bonus, they also donate a few dollars to protect the environment every time a child completes the online activity for the month.

Having fun exploring this month’s box…
This box came with a ton of stickers to decorate our new travel exploration box. The box is cardboard to keep with the company’s environmentally friendly theme.
The Junior Explorers online adventure is incredible. It is so creative and exciting, kids don’t even realize that they are learning! This month’s introductory theme was all about biomes, such as rainforests, deserts, the arctic, and savannas.
Here is Jack’s certificate of completion for the Junior Explorers Biomes online adventure! This is a picture from our computer but we also saved this as a pdf, which we will print out later. Before Jack received this certificate, he had to complete the entire online adventure. This actually took awhile for him to do because it was so extensive. Then he got to choose which environmental company Junior Explorers should donate money to. What a great concept!
