Junior Explorers Serengeti Introduction
Our second Junior Explorers delivery was called Junior Explorers Serengeti. We studied the African Serengeti using a multitude of materials, such as flashcards, an activity guide and online activities.
Junior Explorers is a company which provides monthly educational subscription boxes to teach children ages 5+ about the natural world. As a bonus, they also donate a few dollars to protect the environment every time a child completes the online activity for the month.

Having fun exploring this month’s box…
First we put on our Serengeti pin and bracelet. This was great because both Lila and Jack had their own item to wear and show off.
Next, we decorated our travel box with the Serengeti stickers provided in this package.
Here is a picture of the Serengeti information card we received. What is really nice is that we are studying the African savanna through one of our other subscription boxes Animal Trackers Club and there was absolutely no overlap in content. This box allowed us to study completely different aspects of this unique African environment.
In the activity book, Jack learned how to draw a lion! There was also a search and find, matching activity and crossword puzzle.
We sent these postcards to 4 of Jack’s good friends to tell them about our virtual trip to the Serengeti.
Finally, it was time to use our secret online code to unlock the Serengeti games and activities! At the end of this online adventure, Jack got a certificate of completion and he got to choose between two environmental companies where this month’s donation would go to.
