Animal Logic Game Introduction

This Animal Logic game from the Fat Brain Toy Company was a lot of fun while it also builds your brain.  This is a unique type of puzzle game where you have to move all the animals in a certain order across a bridge.  It is the first time I have seen a hands-on type puzzle game like this.  Normally, this type of game would just be found on paper.  It is a bit like chess, and therefore it is a great introduction to chess for little ones.

What does the Animal Logic Game come with?

This game included:

-game board
-16 different colored wooden animals
-a large spiral notebook with 60 puzzles of advancing difficulty, including solutions

How do you play this game?

Choose the level of difficulty for your puzzle.  The lower numbers are easier, while puzzle 60 is the hardest.

Set up your board just like the puzzle tells you to. Try to get the animals across the little bridge on the left following these simple rules:

1. Colors can follow the same colors, i.e. blue hippos follow blue giraffes
2. Animals can follow the same species, i.e. camels follow camels
3. Animals cannot jump over an animal in front of them, they can only move across the bridge if the space is clear

This is a cooperative game, you win if all the animals are allowed to cross the bridge.  There are multiple solutions to most of the puzzles, but there is one example solution for each of the 60 puzzles in the back of the notebook.
